Gray-Thompson Bespoke Joinery use traditional jointing methods, the most commonly used being mortice and tenon which is used mainly in the production of windows and doors it makes for a very strong and stable joint. For more decorative work the through dovetail joint is used for example in decorative boxes and cabinet drawers. For specialist work for example attaching a gothic arch to frame uprights a hammer head joint will be traditionally employed which again is very strong and uses tapered wedges to tighten the joint. At Gray-Thompson bespoke joinery tried and tested construction methods are used along side that latest woodwork machinery to help us with efficient production.
